A.R.W Collection!
A.R.W Collection (Ancestral Regal Wraps) will be vending African textiles and designs (everything from headwraps to jewelry and other fashion accessories) onsite at Ufulu Child Presents: Freedom Night 2018.
A.R.W Collection, founded by Asantewaa Sankofa, is based on the healing of any women of color.
In her own words: "As a healer myself, I saw a need to give my sister Queens a dose of their own beautiful culture through the African textiles I use to make my products.
Through my own search for Self I began wearing headwraps about 2 years ago and noticed more times than none, that we as women of color will freely wear any and every fashion in representation of other cultures but our own. This is a generational learned behavior.
So, through my handmade creations of African-inspired jewelry and headwraps, I believe I'm aiding someone's healing of Self and the freedom to be who they truly are while being proud of it and knowing it's ok to different."

When asked why healing community events like Freedom Night are important, she said, "Healing events are needed to combat or level out all the negative energies that are shared and passed around on a daily.
The trauma that we all go through, whether physical or mental, seems to be tucked away without acknowledging the damage it's done.
Sometimes it's easier that way, but it blocks so much good that's trying to come through. So I'm excited to be among others who realize the need for healing and healers."
