  1. Have the mindset of self-care being your #1 priority (you can't do any good to others when trying to pour from an empty cup)

  2. Listen to your inner-being and come to an understanding of what your primary wellness goal (and why)

  3. Research what calls to you, consult your physician(s), and above all--consult yourself (at least 3 days of diving deep)

  4. Take baby steps and start from where you are now (be patient when healing yourself so that you don't hurt yourself)

  5. Stick to forming one new habit at a time to build a lasting practice (it takes 21 days to forma new habit)

How to Maintain a Consistent Wellness Practice

The following tips for maintaining a consistent wellness practice are expanded upon in the video above:

  1. Pick a time of day for your practice (same day(s) and time(s) each week)

  2. Journal your findings and progress before and after your practice sessions (energetic changes, physical changes, emotional/mental changes)

  3. Find someone you can talk to about it (fuel your practice and be kept accountable)

  4. Use positive self-talk along the way (this is a no shame zone and a time to push through limiting beliefs)

  5. Adapt your practice to your lifestyle needs (adjust the practice style and length as needed)
